The dashboard maps are requesting an API key

Carto updated their Terms and Conditions on the 25th September 2026
The request for the API key is a result of that update:
https://carto.com/legal/basemap-terms/
and as a result you will need to request a free key from them
Go to https://carto.com/basemaps/apikey/ to request a free API Key.
You’ll get an email with your key.
Then in Manage Dashboards -> Preferences : Worldmap Preferences you’ll enter the following for Default Map Provider URL
https://{s}.basemaps.cartocdn.com/rastertiles/light_all/{z}/{x}/{y}.png?key=<your new API key>
