The interface speed on the device and the speed in Statseeker do not match, they are different

A device will not always provide the interface speed that has been set via SNMP or there is an SNMP setting that has not been configured. The speed will need to be set in Statseeker to match the speed on the device

 Statseeker will poll the device for the speed of its interfaces.

Some devices will struggle with SNMP speeds for non physical interfaces such as VLANS or trunks or other interface types and they will not publish the speed.

When the SNMP speed is absent Statseeker will default and set the interface to 10MGbps

In such cases it is necessary to manually fix the speed of the interface in Statseeker

This is achieved by going to the

    Administration/Admin Tool > Network Discovery > Manage Devices > Interface Management

Use the

    Global Search and type in the name of the device and search for the interface in question

Check the values in the Speed, TX and RX columns

If they do not match the speed set on the device for the interface:

Select the interface using the tick box and run Actions > Edit

Select the three speed settings and change them to what they should be then

      Save (Flag should be lock)

That will ensure the next poll cycle will not revert the settings to whatever we are getting from the device
